Throughout history, the church has provided places of burial within its grounds. At First Congregational UCC all of the rich associations with those who have been part of this beloved community continue to be shared in the hearts of its members and friends.

The Memorial Garden is a consecrated site for meditation, reflection and the distribution of cremated remains of Members and Friends of First Congregational UCC. With approval of the
Senior Minister, cremated remains of others may be scattered or buried in an Ash Bed in the Memorial Garden. [We use the word “interment” whether one’s “cremains” are scattered in an
Ash Bed or buried in an Ash Bed.]
